Nicholas Doman, D.O., joined Eaton Regional Orthopedics as its newest surgeon in July 2018. Dr. Doman completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, including rotations for pediatric orthopedics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and for orthopedic trauma at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. In addition to adult and pediatric conditions, including muscle and ligament reconstruction, arthritic and degenerative conditions, joint reconstruction and sports injuries, Dr. Doman specializes in anterior hip replacements and shoulder replacements. The anterior approach to hip replacement limits muscle injury during surgery and has a faster short-term recovery time compared with other hip replacement procedures. Shoulder replacement surgery is a better option with improved outcomes for patients with certain injuries, such as shoulder arthritis or large rotator cuff tears.
Dr. Doman is a member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics and the Michigan Osteopathic Association.
