Infusion Services

Sparrow Eaton Hospital offers outpatient infusion therapy in a comfortable environment that focuses on each patient's individual needs. Patients receive services in a clean, comfortable room equipped with a recliner and cable TV. 

Infusion services are administered by registered nurses and provided under the direction and supervision of a physician. During treatment, the expert staff also provides a hospitable experience that helps ensure you have a relaxed, stress-free session.

Services offered (but not limited to):

  • Administration of blood products
  • Calcium therapy
  • Central venous line access and management
  • Hydration therapy
  • Immunoglobulin (IVIG)*
  • Injections
  • Iron therapy
  • IV antibiotic therapy
  • Magnesium therapy
  • Outpatient blood draw from ports or PICC lines
  • Placement of PICC lines or short peripheral catheters
  • Prolastin
  • Prolia
  • Reclast
  • Steroid therapy
  • Therapeutic phlebotomies

*Pre-authorization may be necessary.

Please note that all infusion services require pre-scheduled appointments, and are initiated and discontinued per a physician’s order.  Flexible scheduling can accommodate therapy that is needed up to three times per day.  Services can be one-time, intermittent or repeated as ordered by a physician.  

Infusion hours: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Appointments may be scheduled after hours based on individual and treatment needs.
